Facilitation

A group of people are standing in a semi-circle at the top of a grassy hill on a sunny day facing two facilitators who are at the bottom of the hill.

We have more methods than ever in modern history to communicate with each other and yet even the highest performing teams sometimes miscommunicate or don’t land decisions or messaging. Skilled facilitation of meetings, strategy sessions, workshops, and retreats can help ensure that your group accesses the expertise and unique background and experiences of your team to reach your biggest and highest goals.

We have worked with a range of organizations and facilitated 1 day to multi-day meetings with small and large teams from 4-5 person leadership teams to over 300 all-staff teams. We carefully craft each meeting to ensure relationship-building, shared communication, and clear takeaways to reach organizations’ desired outcomes and objectives. We can help you shape and guide an inclusive process that is rooted in shared values.

We believe it is the job of the facilitator to not only set the tone for the meeting, but to prioritize equity in the process of facilitation. We will emphasize the need for contributions from diverse voices and perspectives, and will challenge every member of the team to contribute to the process. We will structure activities and discussions in a way that every member of the team has a chance to participate and learn from each other, in a virtual, hybrid or in-person setting. In addition to productive, meaningful content, we take stock of unproductive behaviors such as interrupting or ignoring others’ input, or minimizing others’ experiences and create space to address concerns and resolve conflict.

At every step of the process, NEWCO will maximize your team’s valuable time together and make a thoughtful plan for pre- and post-meeting or retreat engagement to ensure your collective productivity is not limited to a one-time meeting or one-day retreat.
