Tiffany James

Tiffany leads with care, love, and belonging. She is the founder and CEO of Justice James Consulting, a global social impact and public relations firm based in Columbia, SC. Tiffany is working on a community effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 as the Vaccine Equity and Community Engagement Consultant for the South Carolina Association for Community Action Partnerships and ABLE SC. Her work in community health during the pandemic has led her to create a Community Care Campaign initiative to establish care infrastructures and foster interdependence in marginalized communities. She represented the New England Complex Systems Institute (NECSI) at the World Health Organization's (WHO) 2021 Global Outreach Alert Response Network (GOARN) as a global partner. At this meeting, she contributed to the WHO's 2030 global pandemic plan. As a founding member of the World Health Network (WHN), she co-authored an article in The Lancet with renowned scientists around the world. She also served as a contributor on a policy working group supporting the objectives of the 2021 U.S. COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force. 

Tiffany was also the Communications Consultant for The International Black Women's Public Policy Institute. During the 2020 presidential election, she was the South Carolina Deputy Political Director and Black Engagement Director for presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg. As the Equity Consultant for the South Carolina Tiffany James’ Bio Livable Communities Alliance, she advocated for Complete Streets in communities of color in S.C. which resulted in the adoption of the Complete Streets Policy at the South Carolina Department of Transportation in 2020. Prior to that, she was the Community and Public Relations Specialist for the Central Midlands Transit Authority. She has also worked on and passed several local, statewide, and national issue-based campaigns over the past two decades. 

She has been interviewed by BBC, The Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, The Washington Post, NPR, CBS News, Good Morning America, NewsOne, Voice of America and ETV: Palmetto Perspectives. She received her BA in political science from Clemson University in 2004. As a lifelong public servant and professional, she served as an AmeriCorps member upon graduation. She is currently the president of National Action Network of Columbia. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia (2014), James E. Clyburn Political Fellowship (2017), and was a Regional Finalist for the White House Fellows Program (2022). She is now a proud graduate of the 2022 cohort of the International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute's Dorothy I. Height Global Leadership Academy. She is also an artist who loves acting, singing, traveling, writing, reading, exercising, and spending time with her family, friends, and nature.
